Question by thelastasian14: What kind of aftermarket exhaust could I put on my BMW?
I have a BMW Z3 1996 1.9liter the exhaust is good on it but I want something with a little more noise and power. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Best answer:

Answer by Phillip S
There are many types of mufflers available in and around LA for BMWs. Most muffler shops can order any style of muffler for the 1.9 litre BMW if it is available in the local warehouses. Mufflers carried by the BMW dealers tend to be the most expensive, but they are better constructed and longer lasting than the after market products. If you want something with more noise, you can buy the cheaper after-market designs. More power from a free flow muffler is extremely rare, because you can’t keep the engine running for very long at full throttle. Research the market in your area to find out what is available and how much it will cost to purchase and install. Ask to see if the muffler you select has a warranty, if it is excessively noisy, and for how long the warranty is valid.

The BMW 327 is a medium sized touring coupé produced by the Bavarian firm between 1937 and 1941, and again produced after 1945. It sat on a shortened version of the BMW 326 chassis.

The first 327, launched in 1937, was a cabriolet. In 1938, this was joined by a fixed head coupé version. The car was shorter and lower than its sedan counterpart, but shared the famous BMW grill and a streamlined form representative of the more progressive designs of the 1930s.

Answer by RatZ
A year from now. Actually Lie to Me is not finished, it’s just on holiday break. There are new episodes in Jan/Feb. Misfits won’t be back until November 2010 or so, assuming it’s renewed.

I am looking at a 2005 Bmw 645ci Convertible in black. Do you like this car? I’m debating whether or not to buy one. I really want to know if the roof is quality or not? And with the roof up is it quiet inside? The looks look great but any comments on the car? I am looking at some other hardtop convertibles but the only ones that i like are 2 seaters and even though this is a rag top it still looks great.

Best answer:

Question by Sixpacks L: Is BMW 3 series the best handling car in its class?
I mean how many other brands use RWD and powerful engine in that size of entry level cars, right?

also, why do Nissan insist on using FWD for cars like Maxima which creates a lot of torque steer?

Best answer:

Answer by insidebuy
On the streets in everyday driving, no. An Audi A4 with Quattro will out perform it. Quattro has a world wide reputation of being the best AWD system in a production car. That’s why it will out handle a BMW and why it’s been banned from rallye racing and SCAA racing. Both claim Audi has an unfair advantage.

If you go by car magazines, you’d think BMWs were manna from heaven. But in real life and in pro competition, A4s with Quattro will out handle them. I don’t sell Audis but I own two, an A6 4.2 with Quattro and an A4 2.0 with Quattro.

Quattro works great on dry pavement as well as wet. And handles much better in emergency situations where a RWD, including BMW could easily lose control due to understeer and/or oversteer. While the BMW handles incredibly well, it’s those tight spots where panic begins to set in that it falters because of its design.

An emergency lane change at 65 mph with Quattro will not give you a heart attack. It will give you reassurance. Whereas with a BMW, it will start to plow and dive and you’ll over correct to compensate for that. That would throw the car out of control and could be very dangerous.

Going around a bend at 40 mph, you hit a patch of oil or gravel. Once again, Quattro keeps the car in the direction you intended. The BMW will lose traction and slide. That could have dire consequences.

Overall, even an A4 with just FWD will handle better in rain and snow than the RWD BMW. Front wheel drive gives you better control in inclimate weather. That’s why Maxima still uses FWD. Torque steer is something of the past now. Car makers have found ways to ellimate practically all of it.

Car magazines test their cars on closed tracks. And the editors are biased towards BMW. They bought into their marketing of “The Utlimate Driving Machine”. I give them credit for coming up with such a brilliant tag line though. It really works. BMWs handle great on test tracks. But we drive on everyday roads in all kinds of weather. And that’s where the Audi shines.

As for Andy, well he can believe the magazines. And the editors who test the cars in unrealistic situations. But I prefer the real world where Audi with Quattro out handles BMW. On wet or dry pavement, on gravel and on dirt.

And SCAA races are a very good judge of what car handles better because they use regular street cars with only a few modifications. Audi has been banned from racing because it constantly wins every race its in. It has an unfair advantage, the judges claim. BMW has never won any SCAA race it’s been in.

Audi is built better too. Raise the hood of a BMW and bend it with your hands. You’ll destroy the hood. Now try it on an Audi. You can’t bend it. It barely flexes. Now open any door on a BMW. Lift yourself on the ledge of it, balancing your entire body weight on it. You’ll tear the door off its hinges. Now try in on an Audi. The door doesn’t budge. It closes tight without any gap.

Yeah, I am partial to Audi. I’ve sold every car make over the past 30 years. And now I sell exotics. Knowing the domestic and foreign cars as well as I do, I’ll take an Audi over any other brand.

Question by stevenpn: What job(s), if any, could I possibly get with a series 7 exam completed?
I am a trader in business for myself, but would like to take on a more stable job now. I have completed the series 7 and series 3 exams, but all my degrees (bachelors, masters, and doctorate) are in the field of music. Do I stand a chance in seeking a career as a stockbroker, customer service rep. at a brokerage, or other jobs in the financial markets industry?

Thanks,
Steven
